Katrina Venables RVN C-SQP

Hi! My name is Katrina and I am a Practice Coordinator with responsibility for the small animal clinical teams at Larkmead. I qualified as an RVN from Cerberus in 2005 and have since taken a companion animal SQP course for pharmacy dispensing and supplying medications. I then completed an A1 assessor course for training students and then converted to a clinical coach. After working my way up to Head Nurse, I was able to complete a pet health councillor course for nurse clinics. I’ve been passionate about developing myself and continuously getting new skills over the years so I can bring the best experience and care to the patient and their owner.

The best part of my job is helping to progress teams through their career and training to provide the best standard of care to our patients.

My favourite animal is tricky, but it would have to be dogs and we have two at home. As well as my dogs I have many pets including horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and a tortoise.

My hobbies are looking after my pets at our small holding and at home. I enjoy horse riding and helping my daughter learn to ride and going to the occasional horse show.

As a family we enjoy spending time with friends, going camping and the occasional classic car show.
